We’re Done Here…

My apologies to the three people reading this, but I’m calling it quits.

The whole point of this thing was to find things to be positive about while living in Trumplandia, but the process of digging up the good stuff requires me to wade neck-deep into the shit and it’s just not worth it. I mean, just this morning I saw an article saying something about Trump insisting he be allowed to ride with the queen of England in her golden carriage and claiming that he can’t be sued for inciting riots at his rallies because he won. Is anything even real anymore?

This will stay up and I might come back to it but, for now, it’s done. I’m going to try NOT to look at the news for a while.

Oh, but I’ll leave you with this – I gave up Facebook for Lent. Here is what I learned:

  1. Facebook sucks.
  2. Facebook really sucks.
  3. Facebook is a horrible pit of hate and nasty things.
  4. You’re better off without it.
  5. Facebook sucks.

You may have noticed that I have not posted a Good File for the week. I have been busy this week fighting with my insurance company about my kid’s Asthma meds so haven’t had the energy to look at the news.

Happily, the insurance folks have come around so all is well.

I’ll be posting one big post later this week with the good things in it. See you then!

No, Texas, just no.

The Supreme Court has taken the radical, activist position that doctors, and not the state of Texas, get to decide what defines mental illness and has blocked them from executing Bobby James Moore.

“Adjudications of intellectual disability should be ‘informed by the views of medical experts,’ ” Ginsburg wrote, quoting in part from an earlier decision. “That instruction cannot sensibly be read to give courts leave to diminish the force of the medical community’s consensus.”

The 5-3 decision (which means it would have been the same result even with Trump’s guy in there) is clearly a case of judicial over-reach and political correctness and whatever else DJ and Hannity say to complain about it.

For the rest of us, this is good news!
